Continue the learning journey with the following extension activity:
In Q&A WITH A MECHANIC, have students imagine that Victoria Bruno has agreed to do a Q&A session at their school’s job fair. Have students work individually or in pairs to write a script for the Q&A (both the questions that students might ask and the answers Victoria might give them). Students may use the example questions provided in the skills sheet to help them get started writing the dialogue, but they should also come up with some of their own questions. At the end, they should also write down a couple of questions they still have about being a mechanic that were not answered in the article. Have them research the answers to their questions online to share with the group.
